Our primary Fall Portrait Days will focus on classic, formal school portraits in uniform. All students will also be photographed for the yearbook and class group.

Why are portraits being done this way?

Father John V. Doyle and Little Fox Portraits wanted to keep the traditional, classic look of school portraits while still giving families who enjoy our more creative portrait options an opportunity to participate.

The September portrait days will focus on beautiful formal portraits in school uniform, along with the yearbook headshot and class photograph.

Families who would also like street-clothes portraits, interchangeable backgrounds, or additional portrait options for gifts and keepsakes may register for our optional October 9 portrait day.

If you'd like your child photographed in non-uniform clothing with our interchangeable background options, please register in advance.

We are asking families to register so we photograph only students who are interested in purchasing from this additional portrait experience.

Portrait Day FAQ

Does my child need to register for the September portrait day?
No. Students will be photographed during their scheduled school portrait day in September. Registration is only required for October 9 retakes or the optional street-clothes portrait experience.
What should my child wear for the September portraits?
Students should wear their regular school uniform. These portraits are designed to create a timeless, traditional school portrait that reflects Father John V. Doyle.
What photos will be taken in September?
Students will be photographed for their individual formal portrait, yearbook headshot, and class group photograph.
What is the October 9 street-clothes portrait option?
This is an optional second portrait opportunity for families who would like something different from the traditional uniform portrait. Students may wear their own clothing and will be photographed with our interchangeable background system.
Why do I need to register for the October 9 portraits?
The October portraits are optional. Registration allows us to prepare for the families who are genuinely interested in this additional portrait opportunity rather than photographing every student a second time.
Can my child wear anything for the October portraits?
Yes. Students may wear clothing that reflects their personality and that is appropriate for school. Dressy, casual, seasonal, or simply a favorite outfit are all great options.
Will I be able to choose the background?
Yes. The optional October portraits will use our interchangeable background system, allowing families to choose from several available background options when viewing and ordering their portraits.
Are these good for Christmas gifts?
Absolutely. The October portrait timing gives families a great opportunity to order prints, gifts, and other portrait products in time for the holiday season.
How will I see the pictures?
Families will receive an email with access to a private online gallery after the portraits have been processed. You'll be able to view the images before deciding what you'd like to purchase.
What if my child is absent on their September portrait day?
October 9 will also serve as the retake and make-up portrait day. Please complete the retake form so we know your child needs to be photographed.

Model Release

We would love permission to occasionally feature some of our favorite Father John V. Doyle portraits in Little Fox Portraits marketing, sample galleries, social media, or other promotional materials.

Participation is completely optional and has no effect on your child's school portraits, yearbook photo, gallery, or ordering options. If you're comfortable allowing us to use your child's images, please complete the model release below.
